Catherine Flower-Bond has a degree in History and Heritage,
medical qualifications and holds a HND and IHBC certificates in aromatherapy
and alternative therapies, and writes, teaches and researches a wide
range of historical topics including Religious Observance during the
Reformation and Tudor women’s social history. She works for the
Weald & Downland Museum by day and the rest of the time can be found
working on all things academic! She has appeared in historical television
programs such as BBC four’s Christina of Codicote and Cook
it educational pod casts for primary schools. She spends as much
free time as possible on the re-enactment circuit and at other museums
and historic houses with Tudor Tales
The other half of Tudor Tales is Historical
Interpreter, Joanne Briffett. Joanne works at the Weald & Downland
Museum as an Education Interpreter and Tudor cook, she has interests
in lace making and the research and construction methods involved in
re constructing historic clothing. They have appeared in the much acclaimed
television programme, Ready, Steady, Cook and together they
supply services for schools, clubs, societies and museums- bringing history
to life!
